Location: S60 (Hybrid – minimum 2 days office-based)
We are recruiting an experienced General Practice Chartered Surveyor to support a local authority’s Estates Team on an interim basis until 31 March 2026.
This is a key role providing professional surveying, valuation and estate management expertise to help deliver the Council’s priorities and manage its diverse property portfolio.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Acquisitions and disposals of land and property.
*
General estate management including rent reviews, lease renewals and landlord/tenant matters.
*
Supporting the ongoing Community Buildings Review.
*
Carrying out and contributing to valuation work, including statutory valuations (subject to RICS Registered Valuer sign-off where required).
*
Providing professional surveying advice across departments.
*
Preparing reports, liaising with internal stakeholders, and representing the Council on property matters.
This role sits within a busy, forward-thinking Estates Team that manages a significant commercial portfolio and undertakes wide-ranging strategic property work.
Requirements
*
Ideally MRICS qualified (General Practice/Commercial Property).
*
Strong background in valuation, estate management and general practice work.
*
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
*
Able to attend the office in S60 at least 2 days per week.
