Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry – KM227843
Permanent Consultant position, 40 hours per week (10 Programmed Activities), based at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin.
We are recruiting for a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry to provide specialist input to the eastern Moray catchment area, covering rural Speyside, coastal villages and part of Elgin City.
The postholder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, register with the Continuing Professional Development Programme of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, conduct audit and other elements of clinical governance, and engage in annual appraisal towards revalidation.
* Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and management within the catchment area.
* Participate in teaching, audit and clinical governance activities.
* Engage in annual appraisal and support revalidation.
Qualifications and experience:
* UK training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
* CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) or Portfolio Pathway route doctors eligible once registration is awarded.
* Full registration with a licence to practise on the GMC must be in place prior to starting in post.
