Arden White are partnering with a leading defence company to recruit a Senior HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role covers a period of maternity leave, providing high-level HR support across two locations. You will support the HR Business Partners in harmonising practices and integrating two regional HR functions into a cohesive, high-performing team.
Key responsibilities:
* Review, update, and maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with UK employment law.
* Provide advice and guidance on employee relations, absence management, conduct, and performance.
* Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
* Maintain accurate HR records in Workday and use data to support reporting and management decisions.
* Support HR projects, organisational change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential criteria:
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience managing or supporting employee relations cases (disciplinaries, grievances, absence).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build credibility and trust.
* Proficiency with HR systems and data reporting (e.g., Workday).
* Willingness to work across multiple locations (RAF Shawbury and travel to Kidlington, Oxford).
