Job Title: CompEx Electrician (SC Cleared)
Location: Site-based
Contract Duration: 3–6 months (potential for extension for the right candidate)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified CompEx Electrician to support a variety of electrical works across sites. The role involves working on diverse installations, including critical power systems and hazardous area environments, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation and commissioning of UPS systems for main gate operations
* Installation of electrical spurs for point-of-use hot water systems in welfare areas
* Full ATEX-compliant electrical fit-out of hazardous areas, including gas bottle storage facilities
* Ensure all work complies with current regulations, site standards, and safety procedures
* Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of completed works
* Work collaboratively with site teams and other trades to deliver projects efficiently
Requirements:
* Valid CompEx certification (Ex01–Ex04 preferred)
* Proven experience working in hazardous (ATEX) environments
* Strong background in industrial/commercial electrical installations
* Knowledge of current electrical regulations (e.g. BS 7671)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong commitment to health and safety
