Overview
As our Technical Account Manager (maternity cover), you’ll step into a key customer-facing role, bringing energy, expertise, and a collaborative spirit to every interaction. You’ll be the technical link between Fenmarc and our customers; building strong relationships, managing visits, and driving projects from concept to launch. Whether you're coordinating trials, solving challenges, or leading internal investigations, you’ll make a real impact in a fast-paced, supportive environment. What you’ll be doing
These are the things you’ll be responsible and accountable for, and some of the tasks you’ll need to carry out
* Communication Conductor – Keep internal teams in the loop with all things customer-related, from codes of practice to expectations, so everyone’s aligned and ready to shine.
* Meeting Maestro – Be a key voice in site Technical meetings, helping steer the department in sync with customer goals and standards.
* KPI Commander – Own the numbers! Agree, manage, and report KPIs with flair, then lead the charge on year-on-year improvements.
* Customer Connector – Represent Fenmarc at customer events, webinars, conferences, and benchmarking sessions, whether at head offices, depots, or stores.
* Customer Visit Champion – Plan and manage customer visits with precision and positivity. From pre-production trials to first runs and making sure every team is prepped, and every visit hits the mark.
* Commercial Collaborator– Work hand-in-hand with our Commercial team to deliver one clear, confident Fenmarc message to customers.
* Development Driver – Dive into development meetings, coordinate with the Specifications team, sign off packaging changes, and keep samples flowing, right through to nutritional analysis.
* Problem-Solver Extraordinaire – Respond swiftly and smartly to complaints, rejections, audits, and data requests, leading investigations and driving corrective actions.
* Quality Crusader – Spot opportunities to boost quality and service, then team up internally to make it happen and track the wins.
* Team Leader – Manage, mentor, and motivate the site Technologist, setting goals, supporting growth, and keeping the day-to-day running smoothly.

You’ll Bring
* HACCP Level 3 & Food Safety Level 3 – You know your stuff when it comes to food safety and quality.
* Full Driving License – Ready to hit the road for customer visits, grower meetings, and industry events.
* Sector Savvy – Experience in produce, prepared foods, chilled, agricultural or horticultural sectors? Perfect!
* Influencing & Communication Skills – You can engage, persuade, and collaborate with ease—internally and externally.
* Commercial Awareness – You understand the bigger picture and how technical decisions impact business success.
* Analytical & Organised – You love digging into data, spotting trends, and keeping everything running like clockwork.
* Customer Systems Know-How – You’re familiar with how customers operate and can navigate their systems with confidence.
* Tech-Confident – Comfortable with Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word—you use them to make your work shine.
