In this role, you will: Respond to customer field repair and service requests, providing detailed diagnostics and solutions. Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and customer needs. Communicate with site management to ensure compliance with customer procedures. Diagnose equipment issues using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators. Identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs, coordinating service revisit schedules. Perform repairs and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators. What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have: A valid
LDV driving license
. Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and significant experience as a service engineer. Experience with various gas and diesel engines and generators (both LV and HV). Knowledge and Skills
We value: Proficiency in using field-based diagnostic tools and equipment. Experience in assembling and disassembling diesel engines and components. Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series) and MWM, MAK series. Why Choose Finning?
