Mott MacDonald’s Armed Forces Pathway represents our commitment to recruiting, transitioning, developing, and supporting the armed forces community within our organisation.
The Pathway is designed to support military personnel transitioning into civilian careers. It provides support and resources to help individuals develop relevant skills, and successfully integrate into roles outside of the military.

Overview Of The Role
The Energy Networks team within our Energy Unit is looking for a Project Coordinator to work on multiple projects and proposals across all of our sectors.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Project Manager and Project Principal to successfully deliver our multi-disciplinary energy projects.
Key Responsibilities And Duties Include
* Setting up and maintaining registers and trackers to monitor the project performance primarily in terms of quality, time and cost
* Following internal governance procedures and reporting requirements
* Meeting challenges with resourcefulness, generating suggestions for improving work and developing innovative approaches and ideas to improve efficiency and performance
* Work collaboratively and proactively within a project team and with clients and other stakeholders
* Supporting a work environment which promotes health, safety, and wellbeing
Essential Criteria – Armed Forces Veteran Transitioning To Project Coordination
We’re looking for a Project Coordinator who thrives in fast-paced environments, can juggle multiple priorities, and brings a strong sense of structure and teamwork.

* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks or missions simultaneously, often under pressure and with shifting priorities.
* Comfortable adapting to new environments, changing objectives, and evolving timelines.
Mobility and Flexibility
* Willingness and ability to travel to different locations, including offices, operational sites, or overseas, as required.
Team Collaboration
* Experienced in working within diverse, cross-functional teams, often across ranks and specialisms, to achieve shared goals.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
* Strong verbal and written communication skills developed through briefing teams, writing reports, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Able to influence and engage others to ensure alignment and successful delivery of objectives.
Prioritisation and Value Focus
* Skilled in identifying high-impact tasks, managing competing demands, and eliminating inefficiencies—ensuring time and resources are used effectively.
Project Knowledge and Willingness to Learn
* Any experience with project coordination, scheduling, or planning is welcomed.
