Bryn Coch Club
Bryn Coch Club a registered CIO #1196346 (Wales) is a happy and successful club located within the grounds of the hugely popular Ysgol Bryn Coch and is looking to recruit an extra Full-time Childcare Practitioner for our Pre-school, Wraparound and childcare setting, term time only.
Hourly rate - NLW per hour. Hours per week, minimum 32.5 Monday to Friday (5 weeks paid holiday)
We require an individual who will create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for our children and ensure high quality care.
The role will include:
Appropriate care and supervision of children in our care.
Providing opportunities for play (knowledge of child led and in the moment planning)
Ensuring health and safety needs of each individual child are met.
Where appropriate administer first aid.
Ensuring that each child’s wellbeing is met and they thrive in a safe environment
Engaging the children in suitable age-appropriate play activities
Person Specification:
Recognised childcare qualification minimum Level 2 - working towards L3
Previous experience of working with children 2-4 years
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands
Able to work constructively as part of a small team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively
Enhanced DBS check
Knowledge of Flying Start and 30-hour childcare offer.
Ability to implement the Active Offer
All staff are expected to:
Undertake training as required
Support and contribute to the club’s responsibility for safeguarding students
Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct
