Overview
A well-established legal practice is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer with specific expertise in handling Employment Tribunal claims (Respondent) to join its Employment Department. This role involves managing a varied contentious caseload while also providing ongoing employment law and HR-related advice to a portfolio of retained clients. Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse Employment Tribunal caseload (predominantly Respondent defence work), making up approximately 25-30% of the role.
* Provide commercial, solution-focused HR and employment law advice to employers subscribed to a retained support service.
* Support around 2025 retained business clients, including organisations such as independent schools, care providers, and medical practices.
* Deliver bespoke employment documentation and HR support, including on-site attendances and co-chairing employee hearings when required.
* Deliver HR and employment law training sessions to managers and client teams.
* Maintain high standard of client service and caseload management.
