Messy spend management is tricky business. And tedious processes are a lose-lose situation for all involved, not just finance. At Pleo, were changing that. We build spend solutions that make managing money seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike - with a vision to help all businesses ‘go beyond’.
The word ‘Pleo’ actually means ‘more than you’d expect’, and living by that mantra has been the secret to our success over the last 10 years.
Now, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey; every move we make has a direct impact on our 40,000+ customers, our business, and our collective success. We need people who take pride in uncovering customer needs, who turn complex problems into simple solutions, challenge the way things are done (respectfully), and always aim high. With great ambitions driving us forward, we can’t say we’ve got this whole thing figured out. And frankly, that’s half the fun! What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together.
About the role
Were looking for a Campaign Manager, Partnerships at Pleo. In this role, you’ll be the strategic architect connecting our internal GTM engine to the broader market ecosystem. You are the "connective tissue" between Product Marketing (PMM), Partnerships, and our Channel Partners, transforming high-level value propositions into high-performance GTM programs.
Rather than just managing relationships, you design the integrated marketing motions that leverage tech and channel partners to amplify our reach and credibility. Your primary mission is to "Sell-To" partners (engaging and activating the long-tail of accounting and referral partners) and "Sell-Through" partners (equipping them to drive scalable customer acquisition). You are the steward of the partner‑led growth engine, ensuring the ecosystem is a core driver of our global revenue strategy.
Who you’ll be working with and reporting to
You’ll report to our Associate Director, Campaign Planning & Management and work closely with teams in Product Marketing (PMM), Partnerships, and Regional Marketing. Our team is highly collaborative and dedicated to transforming value propositions into high-performance GTM programs and campaigns. You’ll also have the chance to partner with teams across Brand, Content, Digital, and Revenue Operations to ensure success.
What you’ll be doing
1. Strategic GTM Orchestration (The "Pendent" to PMM Strategy)
* Partner hand-in-hand with PMM to translate the Partner Program strategy (Pricing, Portal features, and Value Props) into actionable GTM roadmaps.
* Lead the authoring of "Master Strategic Briefs" for the partner motion, ensuring that Brand, Content, and Digital teams are aligned on the "Why" and "How" of partner activation.
* Build and maintain the strategic GTM calendar for the ecosystem, ensuring partner incentives and tech launches are timed for maximum impact alongside core product moments.
2. Partner Activation & "Sell-To" Programs (The Long‑Tail Engine)
* Design and optimize the end‑to‑end journey for our long‑tail accounting partners. You define the logic for automated 30‑60‑90 day onboarding flows that move partners from "Sign‑up" to "First Referral."
* Orchestrate "Always‑On" nurture programs that drive adoption of the Partner Portal and Academy. You identify friction points in partner engagement and deploy multi‑channel triggers (Email, In‑app, Reachdesk) to keep Pleo top‑of‑mind.
* Analyze partner engagement data to identify dormant cohorts and architect "Re‑activation Strikes" to bring them back into the active referral ecosystem.
3. Partner Enablement & "Sell-Through" Programs (Scalable Growth)
* "Campaign‑in‑a‑Box" Frameworks: Design scalable, high‑conversion marketing kits that partners can deploy to their own clients. You own the strategic structure of partner‑led webinars, templates, and event frameworks.
* Design and orchestrate time‑bound, incentive‑driven campaigns (e.g., "Free for your Practice" practice‑led offers) to bridge pipeline gaps and accelerate partner‑sourced New Business.
* Provide Regional Partner Managers with the localized playbooks and enablement kits required to land global partner campaigns effectively in local markets.
4. Portfolio & Resource Optimization
* Act as the strategic steward of the partnership marketing budget, balancing high‑scale tech integrations with high‑touch channel programs to maximize ROI.
* Define program‑level KPIs for the partner motion and, in collaboration with Ops/Analytics, monitor the "health of the engine", reporting on partner‑sourced pipeline and referral velocity rather than just vanity engagement metrics.
What you bring
* Have 3-4 years of experience in Partner Marketing, Channel Marketing, Co‑marketing, or Distribution marketing.
* Bring direct partnership expertise: You have hands‑on experience working with resellers, distributors, or professional services like accountants.
* Understand that 1+1=3. You have a knack for finding the "Strategic Sweet Spot" where our brand and a partner’s brand intersect.
* Are a master at managing multiple stakeholders and can influence internal execution teams who may not report to you directly.
* Are B2B SaaS Fluent: You understand the difference between a "Tech Integration" (driving product stickiness) and a "Channel Partner" (driving reach and fulfillment).
* You can take a technical API integration and turn it into a high‑level marketing concept that excites customers and partners alike.
Success Metrics
* Partner‑Sourced/Influenced Pipeline: The total value of the funnel generated through ecosystem activities.
* Ecosystem Integration Rate: The percentage of core campaigns that successfully include a partnership component.
* Portfolio ROI: Successful balance and performance of budget across tech and channel tiers.
Why is this role a good fit for you
* You enjoy being the "connective tissue" between strategy and execution.
* You love the challenge of scaling a "long‑tail" engine through automation and clever triggers.
* You want to own a budget and be directly accountable for revenue‑driving KPIs.
This role is not a good fit for you
* You do not have direct experience working with partner ecosystems or resellers.
* You prefer working in a silo rather than managing a web of internal and external stakeholders.
* You are more focused on brand awareness than on measurable pipeline and referral velocity.
How you’ll develop in this role
* Lead the "Sell-To" automation project to drive impact in partner onboarding and first‑referral speed.
* Collaborate with PMM to improve the synchronization between product launches and partner incentives.
* Grow your skills in Ecosystem Marketing, taking on the leadership of complex "Campaign‑in‑a‑Box" frameworks as the company continues to scale globally.
We’re committed to helping you develop your career, whether that means taking on bigger projects, stepping into leadership, or acquiring new skills in Partner Marketing.

The interview process
We want to ensure you are set‑up for success and understand what will be expected of you. If your application is successful, our interview process is as follows:
1. Intro call: A 30‑minute chat with our Talent Partner to discuss the role and your background.
2. Hiring manager interview: a 45min interview to dive deeper into skills and experience.
3. The Pleo Challenge: A take‑home‑challenge that you will present in 1h a team interview.
4. Final interview: A final conversation with a senior leader.
Transparency is important to us so we also wanted to share some insights about what we’re looking for in applications to ensure you can set yourself up for success!
Last time we hired a Marketing Specialist we received a total of over 100 applications but only 10 were selected for an intro call. With this in mind, we want to help you understand what we really care about when reviewing your application:
* We receive a lot of CVs, and many of them are AI‑generated. We love seeing people leverage AI—it’s a big focus for us internally too—but without human intervention, these CVs can sometimes become generic and fail to show a candidate in the best light. What were really looking for is the specific details of real impact that only you—not AI—know from your previous experience. A top tip from us is to use the “Achieved X, as measured by Y, by doing Z” formula (credit: Laszlo Bock, ~2014) to give a really clear picture of what you’ve worked on. A final note: including links to your previous companies websites is a huge help and allows us to truly understand your background.
* Every single application we receive is reviewed by a human (yes, hundreds of them) because we believe that candidates efforts should be matched by an equal level of human care. This means that we expect a similar level of attention put into your application. Read and answer the application questions carefully, they make a huge difference in our decision‑making process.

Diversity drives us. We can only reach our goals if our team reflects the world around us. That starts with you hitting apply, even if you dont tick every single box. We encourage people from all backgrounds and experiences to join us.
