We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Year 2 class on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide 1:2 support for 2 children with additional needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor the curriculum and ensure children access their learning in a way that suits their individual needs. The role requires a high level of flexibility, an understanding of how to support KS1 pupils with EHCPs, and the ability to make effective adaptations to support their inclusion within the wider curriculum. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing targeted support for neurodiverse children and be able to demonstrate empathy, patience, and a collaborative approach to learning.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:2 support for Year 2 pupils with additional needs.
* Work with the class teacher and SENCO to adjust the curriculum and teaching strategies for children with EHCPs.
* Monitor and track progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
* Support the development of learning strategies that help children access the national curriculum.
