Position Overview: Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist (Stroke Experience)
Do you have a passion for community-based rehabilitation and expertise in supporting individuals recovering from strokes? Pulse Mental Health is actively seeking a dynamic Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in empowering individuals to regain independence and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of individuals’ physical and cognitive abilities, focusing on stroke-related challenges.
Tailored Rehabilitation Plans: Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy plans, emphasizing stroke recovery and maximizing functional independence.
Community Integration: Facilitate community-based interventions to support individuals in regaining confidence and participating in daily activities.
Collaborative Care: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Client and Family Education: Provide education to clients and their families on adaptive strategies, home modifications, and resources to support continued progress.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with the relevant professional occupational therapy board.
* Band 6 or equivalent experience in community occupational therapy with a focus on stroke rehabilitation.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
