As a Finance Business Partner, you work closely with the relevant business area to provide guidance, analysis and insight on financial matters, offering recommendations and challenging assumptions. By building relationships and influencing stakeholders, you support the achievement of the business goals.
This is a hybrid role based in Guildford / Bournemouth.
Salary: Circa £60,000.
Responsibilities
* Provide financial management expertise, analysis and insight to inform decision‑making within the business channel/segment/function.
* Appraise and support new opportunities and projects, ensuring all relevant financial considerations and controls are in place.
* Own the month‑end expense process for the relevant area, articulating cost allocation and explaining any impact of changes.
* Lead the expense budgeting and planning process for relevant business areas.
* Produce accurate and timely financial management information to inform business decisions.
* Ensure all reporting and accounting are carried out to required standards, quality and agreed timescales.
* Influence business decision‑making through engagement with key stakeholders.
Essential Skills
* Qualified or Part‑Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
* Ability to apply management accounting and financial management techniques to inform business decisions.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to see both detail and the big picture.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Ability to collaborate credibly across all levels, including senior management.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills
* Post‑qualification experience in finance within the insurance industry (desirable).
* Up‑to‑date insurance accounting and reporting knowledge (desirable).
* Experience using Generative AI tools such as Webchat or Chat‑Bot systems.
