We are currently working with a Local Authority in the South West who is looking for a Lead Finance Officer to join the team to assist the Adult Support Services Financial Services Team.
The Lead Officer will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of financial support functions for social care, including; financial assessment & benefits review, deferred payments function, payments of care invoices, raising of charges for care and supporting corporate debt recovery.

Rate: £23ph via Umbrella Company
Site presence: Predominantly remote working with 1 day on site
Role Details
1. Lead and manage teams reporting to the post holder to deliver an efficient, accurate and consistent level service
2. Develop and maintain an approach to continuous improvement of the services offered on both existing and emerging customer access channel
3. Provide effective leadership and management to the teams for which you are responsible, mentoring and management (including performance management, appraisal reviews etc) of the staff reporting to the post, in accordance with the Councils policy & procedures
4. Report to the Finance Manager - Projects & Capital
5. Improve the Project processes, standardising and embedding processes
