The Role:
Are you an experienced ICT Technician looking for a role where your skills genuinely make a difference?
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) is seeking a proactive and technically confident ICT Technician to help support the critical systems that keep our blue light services running 24/7, across 62 operational sites spanning the mainland and Isle of Wight.
Day:to:day you will work hands:on supporting the ICT infrastructure used by frontline and support staff. You will carry out routine maintenance activities, respond to ICT incidents and support ICT delivery projects both on site and remotely. You will be responsible for updating technical documentation and updating the ICT Service Management System. Collaborating with staff, users, and ICT suppliers as required.
You will have experience in a similar role with experience of supporting ICT infrastructure and have a technical background supported by formal training, certification, and qualifications.You should be confident with Windows, desktop environments, and LAN/WAN technologies. Experience with radio or voice services is preferred. Ideally, you have worked in a large, diverse organisation delivering high:quality, high:availability ICT applications under ITIL standards and understand recognised frameworks like Cyber Essentials.
