ABOUT THE POSITION
Join OAG as a dynamic Commercial Finance Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Commercial Finance Team. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, you'll drive critical tasks including planning, reporting, and in-depth analysis, while contributing to long-term projects and ad-hoc initiatives. Partner with various Business stakeholder to enhance revenue reporting, optimize intangible asset capitalization, and streamline the integration and consolidation of our global entities. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
* Supporting all finance business partners in delivery of their daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities, with a broad scope across the whole P&L
* Delivery and co-ownership of profitability modelling by 'value stream' in conjunction with relevant business owners
* Working alongside the Senior Finance Manager (Revenue) on reporting and presentation of revenue performance, adapting and adjusting reporting to business needs again with an eye on 'value streams'
* Ownership of Fixed Assets reporting, accounting, and monitoring with support of Senior Finance Manager. Support 'set piece' finance activity such as monthly management reporting, annual budgeting, and rolling forecast management
* Providing support on intangible asset processes - monthly capitalisation and associated reporting. Support more broadly, the Management Accountant on various aspects of monthly reporting, particularly integration overseas accounts providers
* Alongside Commercial Finance Director build, create, and own finance data warehouses and metrics dashboards
* Accountabilities that continuously adapt such as ad hoc support on various business projects, e.g. ESG reporting, travel and expense systems/management, company credit card processes and procedures etc.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
* Proven experience in a Commercial Finance, FP&A, or business partnering role working closely with non-finance stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, operations)
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
* Previous experience with key commercial metrics (e.g., revenue, gross margin, annual customer value) and how they relate to business performance
* Proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation
* Fully qualified or partially qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or equivalent commercial finance experience
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Demonstrated ability to evaluate commercial opportunities and assess financial impact, including pricing, margin analysis, and investment appraisal (ROI)
* Previous experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) is a big plus
* Comfortable working with large datasets and collaborating with data teams or analysts.
