This role plays a part in driving digital innovation within the 019 service, ensuring technology is effectively integrated to enhance care, improve communication, & support service development. The post holder provides regular updates on digital developments to managers & teams, ensuring colleagues are informed, confident, & supported in adopting new systems. They champion service user engagement in the design, implementation, & review of digital tools, ensuring developments are responsive to the needs of children, young people, & families.

A core responsibility is to act as a change agent for technology, balancing innovation with realistic service needs including contributing to TRFTs digital strategy, supporting business proposals for new functionality, & helping shape workforce training to build digital confidence & capability. The post holder ensures information used digitally is accurate, current, & evidence-based, while disseminating updates & best practice across the service.

Through participation in research, clinical audit & benchmarking, the role evaluates the impact of digital solutions & promotes quality improvement. By collaborating with the Matron, Service Manager & Team Leaders, the post holder helps drive forward TRFTs digital maturity strategy, ensuring staff are equipped, service delivery is efficient, & outcomes for families are improved. The role blends clinical insight with digital expertise to modernise & strengthen the 019 service.


Main duties of the job

* Maintain confidentiality and safeguard client/staff information in line with TRFT, FOI and Caldicott principles.
* Communicate complex, sensitive information with discretion, promoting trust and respect.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, governance standards and statutory guidance.
* Keep accurate, contemporaneous records and role model professional documentation
* Support digital developments, engage service users and update managers/colleagues.
* Deliver high-quality client care through assessment, intervention and follow-up, escalating when needed.
* Work collaboratively with GP practices, schools, Early Help, police and other agencies to meet objectives
* Support induction, training, mentoring and supervision of staff and students; promote CPD.
* Ensure adherence to Trust policies, training compliance and participation in safeguarding/clinical supervision.
* Facilitate e-learning, disseminate evidence-based updates and contribute to service improvements
* Participate in research, audit, benchmarking and quality initiatives.
* Contribute to TRFTs digital and service development strategies, including management of digital platforms.
* Maintain safe working practices, complete risk assessments, follow infection control and manage challenges with resilience.
* Uphold TRFT values, prioritise effectively and support a positive, learning-focused environment.

Fixed Term 24 months potential for this to become permanent after fixed term period

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Relevant professional background in digital health, public health, or health communications with equivalent demonstrable experience
* The successful candidate must hold a SCPHN qualification in Health Visiting or School Nursing
* Training in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults (Level 3 or willingness to achieve
* Willingness to undertake further training
* Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to this post
* Evidence of continued professional development relevant to digital health, communication, or public health


Experience

* Experience working with children, young people, and families in a health, care or community setting
* Electronic record keeping experience
* Experience of working in a multi disciplinary team
* Experience of working with children.
* Experience of working in a community setting
* Experience in creating and managing digital content for professional use (e.g. social media, websites, apps)
* Experience responding to digital enquiries or messages from service users, ideally in a healthcare or public service context
* Experience using digital systems such web content management systems, or app back-end platform
* Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop health promotion content or campaigns


Knowledge

* A good understanding of child development
* Demonstrates an understanding of research and audit processes
* Understanding of National and Local drivers and directions that relate to measuring and improving the quality and safety of patient care
* Demonstrates an awareness of 0- 19 Universal Services, the Public Health Agenda and Primary Care


Pin

* Registered health professional (e.g. Nurse, Midwife, SCPHN, or
* equivalent) with current NMC registration
