IHG Hotels & Resorts seeks a creative Social Media Content Specialist to shape brand presence across digital platforms at InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa. Responsibility
* Develop, schedule, and manage engaging content across all major social media platforms.
* Capture and produce live event coverage, including photos and videos.
* Monitor analytics to track campaign success and optimize strategies.
* Collaborate with marketing, PR, and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging.
* Research trends and integrate them into brand storytelling.
* Maintain content calendars and coordinate multi-channel campaigns.
* Engage with audiences to enhance customer service and brand loyalty.
Experience and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, Content Creator, or similar role
* Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
* Demonstrated portfolio of successful social media campaigns or creative work
* Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Google Analytics)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Flexibility to cover events and capture live content outside of regular working hours
* Passion for creativity, trends, and brand storytelling
* Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
* Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a creative flair
* Ability to create engaging photo, video, and graphic content
* Knowledge of current social media trends, analytics, and algorithms
* Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar)
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple campaigns
* Analytical mindset to track performance and optimize content for engagement
* Attention to detail and consistency in brand tone, visuals, and messaging
* Photography and basic video editing skills (preferred)
* Good communication and a passion for customer service
* Strong command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset
