Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of public law children matters under Legal Aid
* Acting for children, parents, and other parties in care proceedings
* Conducting advocacy where appropriate
* Supervising and supporting junior team members where required
* Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and professional standards
* Working collaboratively within a specialist children law team
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor with Children Panel Accreditation
* Legal Aid Supervisor status is essential
* Strong experience in public children law matters
* Excellent client care and case management skills
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
Alternative Consideration
* Candidates with local authority / local government experience who are willing to work towards Children Panel Accreditation will also be considered
