An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at Singleton Breast Care Unit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with a range of health-care providers providing care and support for patients in the clinic setting providing an efficient and effective diagnostic service.
Main duties of the job
The appointed candidate will assist Consultant Radiologists, Breast Consultants, and other members of the MDT within the outpatient clinical setting and undertake some administrative work supporting the CNS Breast Care Nurses. As part of the role you will be required to take part in clinical audit, research and continue to update your practice through evidence based study and training. The post will require you to use relevant I.T systems so I.T skills is advantageous.
The successful candidate will need good communication skills to be able to communicate effectively, sensitively and compassionately with often distressed patients and their families, when discussing cancer diagnosis and treatment. Clinical supervision is offered to all staff to support them with the psychological impact of the role.
The role requires a flexible approach to work, commitment, and ability to prioritise your workload and work with the wider multidisciplinary team.
