The University seeks a highly motivated animal scientist to join the team supporting undergraduate teaching at the university in the areas of animal health, physiology and welfare. This position will also include teaching on the Veterinary Technician Apprenticeship course. This post is a full-time fixed term position.
The appointee will have a specific role to participate in the delivery of Animal related modules especially across a range of programme areas. The department delivers programmes in Agriculture, Veterinary Bioscience, Applied Animal Science and Animal Health and Welfare for undergraduates, and a range of professional and postgraduate programmes, which can be viewed on the University web site. As noted previously, delivery will also be required on the Veterinary Technician apprenticeship course with a focus on large animal health.
The Successful candidate will be required to support delivery of the following taught modules:
* Farmed animal health and genetics
* Physiology of body systems
* Life Sciences
* Animal diseases
* Livestock health and welfare management
* Veterinary technician farm skills and procedures
* Animal medicines and preventative animal health
Ideally the successful candidate will hold a first degree in relevant subject area such as Animal science, Animal biology, Animal production, Bioveterinary science or Veterinary medicine
