Religious Education Teacher - Secondary School - Preston
Start Date: ASAP | Contract: Until End of Academic Year
A secondary school in Preston is seeking to appoint a Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department as soon as possible. This is a full-time position continuing until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. There may also be the opportunity to teach additional Humanities subjects at Key Stage 3, depending on experience and timetable requirements.
The Role:
* Teaching Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 students
* Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
* Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes
* Potentially teaching additional KS3 Humanities lessons
* Contributing positively to the wider school community
Experience delivering Health and Social Care BTEC would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
* Be adaptable and willing to contribute across the Humanities department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
