Education Key Account Manager
Location: Halifax (Office-based with 1 day WFH)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Termly Bonus
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
Connex Education are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Education Key Account Manager to join our growing team in Halifax. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education and skilled in relationship management to make a real impact in the education sector.
You'll be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key educational institutions, driving growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our valued education partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key education sector clients including schools, colleges, and multi-academy trusts
• Business Development: Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to maximize account potential
• Strategic Planning: Create and implement account plans to achieve revenue targets and KPIs
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact, conducting regular reviews and meetings with senior education leaders
• Solution Delivery: Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products/services to meet client needs
• Market Intelligence: Stay informed about education sector trends, policy changes, and competitive landscape
• Reporting: Provide regular updates on account performance, pipeline development, and market feedback
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience in account management, preferably within the education sector
• Strong understanding of the UK education landscape and its challenges
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build relationships at all levels, from teachers to senior leadership teams
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites
Desirable Qualities:
• Experience working with schools, MATs, or education organisations
• Knowledge of education procurement processes
• CRM system experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
