Job Description
V7 is working with a Data Centre Contractor who is looking for an Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager to join their consultancy arm, working closely with one of their end clients.
You will collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager to assist in planning, executing, and closing projects. This role involves supporting the entire project lifecycle, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining project documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role is based in the office 5 days a week, in the E14 area.
Must Have Data Centre Experience
Key Responsibilities
1. Support Project Management: Assist the Project Manager in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closing, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
2. Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, risk logs, and change requests.
3. Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment on project tasks and milestones.
4. Monitor Progress: Track and report project progress, highlighting any risks, delays, or issues and suggesting corrective actions.
5. Budget Assistance: Support in tracking project budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
6. Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and relevant standards.
7. Issue Resolution: Identify potential problems and work proactively with the Project Manager to resolve issues or conflicts.
8. Meetings: Schedule and participate in project meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.
9. Risk Management: Assist in identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
* Experience: 1-3 years in project management, coordination, or a related role (preferably in construction, IT, or relevant industry).
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
* Certifications: CAPM, PMP, or similar certifications are a plus.
* Industry Knowledge: Experience working on Data Centre projects is highly desirable.
* Advanced Skills: Familiarity with agile or other project management methodologies is advantageous.
