Governance Assistant
Salary: £25,000-£28,325 Pro rata
Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract: Temporary (circa 6 weeks)
Location: Remote (UK travel required)
The Royal College of Paramedics is seeking a highly organised and proactive Governance Assistant to support the Head of Governance and wider Business Administration team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has excellent administrative skills, and is passionate about good governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Support governance processes including policies, procedures, GDPR, elections and trustee activities.
* Provide administrative support for Board, Committee and Council meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes and action logs.
* Coordinate travel, venues, documentation and communication with stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate electronic filing systems and ensure secure information management.
* Assist with general business administration, diary coordination, enquiry management and project support.
About You
* Experience in governance support or a strong administrative background.
* Confident using Microsoft Office 365 and administrative systems.
* Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills.
* Strong minute‑taking, proof‑reading and attention to detail.
* Able to work independently, handle confidential information and build strong working relationships.
* Flexible, proactive and committed to ongoing professional development.
