An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Family Care Worker at the 3 Towns Children and Families Locality Team. Reporting to the senior family care worker and team manager, the successful candidate should have experience working with vulnerable children and their families. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential. IT skills are also required for updating case records. The role involves early morning work, occasional evenings, and weekends on a rota basis.
The focus is on early and effective intervention, working from assessments written by social workers using the Signs of Safety framework. A 6-week intervention and support plan will be initiated and reviewed. The team has strong links with local agencies and a supportive environment, offering regular supervision and training.

This role involves regulated work with children and protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence to apply if barred from such work. Successful candidates' details will be entered into the PVG system to generate a disclosure form.
