Join Our Compassionate Community Nursing Team as an Advanced Healthcare Assistant!
We are seeking a full-time Advanced Healthcare Assistant (AHCA) to support our community nursing teams. Your role will involve caring for patients in their own homes, helping the NHS meet the needs of elderly, disabled, or vulnerable patients who may have difficulty visiting GP surgeries or hospitals.
You will work both independently and with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care and support families. The role is based at Abbey Court, collaborating closely with GPs and community services. We offer flexible in-house training and development programs, including health and wellbeing opportunities.
Applicants should meet the qualification requirements specified in the person specification. We welcome those currently pursuing their level 3 NVQ or equivalent, as this may not automatically disqualify you from an interview. Good IT skills and clinical skills such as phlebotomy, wound dressings, bandaging, and injections are required, with training provided as needed.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, proud to hold DWP Disability Confident Employer status, working towards Disability Confident Leader accreditation, and welcome applications from diverse backgrounds. We value equity, diversity, and inclusion as they enhance patient care and workforce satisfaction.
Rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC, we strive for high standards of patient care and community health. We encourage flexible working arrangements to suit your needs and our operational requirements. Discover your career growth opportunities with KCHFT.
