Senior Associate – Corporate / M&A (4+ PQE)
South East | Tier-1 Corporate Practice | Private Equity & M&A Focus
We’re working with a respected UK law firm looking to appoint a Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to its Corporate team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate lawyer with substantial experience in Private Equity and M&A transactions to take on real responsibility, work closely with partners, and contribute to the continued growth of a highly regarded corporate practice.
The Role
In this hands-on position, you will:
* Take the lead on mid-market and larger corporate transactions, particularly in private equity and M&A
* Work collaboratively with partners as part of local and national deal teams on more complex mandates
* Mentor and support junior associates, helping to build capability within the team
* Manage all aspects of corporate work including acquisitions, disposals, restructuring, equity fundraising and shareholder arrangements
* Engage in client and business development activities, with opportunities to build your own profile and client base
You’ll be expected to act with autonomy where appropriate, while also contributing to high-value, multi-lawyer deals that benefit from strong team support.
About You
* Qualified solicitor with 4+ PQE, ideally from a respected commercial or corporate practice
* Proven track record on M&A and private equity transactions, including deal execution and client interaction
* Strong technical skills in corporate documentation, negotiation and project management
* Commercially aware with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Motivated, collaborative and ready to contribute to business development and team growth
