SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Stockport
Location: SEN/Primary/Secondary Schools across Stockport
Job Type: Long-term, Short-term & Daily Cover Available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you an experienced SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting students 1:1 in SEN schools across Manchester? Aspire People are currently recruiting for high-demand SEN 1:1 TA positions within alternative provisions, pupil referral units (PRUs), and mainstream schools ready for September 2025.
About the Role:
* Provide 1:1 support for students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.
* Work within alternative provisions, PRUs, and mainstream schools, supporting students with challenging behaviour.
* Assist in implementing EHCPs and individual behaviour management strategies.
* Build positive relationships to support students' academic and personal development.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
UK Bachelors degree related to SEN like Psychology
Previous experience working with children with SEN in the UK (essential).
Strong behaviour management skills - experience dealing with challenging behaviour is a must.
Patience, resilience, and a passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. (or willing to pay for one)
Ability to provide two years of references.
