Job Title: Aids and Adaptations Surveyor
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: Up to £45,858 per annum (full time) plus lease car subsidy or cash alternative of £2,080 pa
Job Type: Permanent, full time 37 hours per week or part time considered

We are looking for an experienced Aids and Adaptations Surveyor to help residents with disabilities live more independently, safely and comfortably in their homes. This role utilizes knowledge, empathy and technical expertise to directly improve people's quality of life. You will take ownership of adaptation projects from early assessment through to completion, working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, residents, contractors and colleagues across Housing and Planned Maintenance. We recognise the value of flexibility and are open to part‑time working and flexible patterns, with workloads planned around agreed outcomes rather than fixed hours on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Assessing referrals for adaptations and advising on the most appropriate solutions
* Inspecting homes to determine feasibility for minor and major adaptations
* Agreeing practical, compliant schemes from ramps to wet rooms
* Managing projects from approval through to completion, ensuring time, cost and quality targets are met
* Working closely with Occupational Therapists and residents to translate assessed needs into safe, workable designs
* Ensuring works comply with Building Regulations, CDM, health & safety and council procedures
* Carrying out inspections and signing off completed works with confidence
You will manage a planned, manageable caseload, supported by established contractor and internal colleagues.
About You
* Strong, relevant experience delivering aids and adaptations or similar residential improvement works
* Sound knowledge of building construction, health & safety and contract administration
* Experience working in liaison with residents and contractors
* A full UK driving licence is required due to site visits
