The Role of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in taking projects from concept through to production and installation.
Designing custom HVAC systems using 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
Performing airflow, psychrometric, and heat load calculations.
Collaborating with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers.
Supporting installation and commissioning activities (some UK/international travel).
About the Mechanical Design Engineer:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be someone who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced project environment where no two days are the same.
HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or HVAC Design .
Minimum 3 years’ experience within HVAC, air handling, or building services.
Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor .
Full UK driving licence (company pool van or mileage expenses provided).
Experience with HVAC or air-handling projects .
Some understanding of electrical systems (wiring, controls, motor drives).
