Exeter City Football Club is a special club with over 20 years of Supporters’ Trust ownership something we are very proud of. Trust ownership is reflected in our commitment to balancing on-field success with long-term sustainability and we have a remarkable track record of nurturing talent through our Academy, promoting players to the first team, and maximising their performance. ​ In addition to the success of our Academy and men’s team Exeter City Women successfully transitioned into being fully managed by the Club in 2024 and were promoted to the third tier of women’s football in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division in 2024. ​ Culture We recognise the advantages of having a diverse workforce with a broad range of skills, diversity of experiences and perspectives and we embrace the creativity and innovation this brings. We embrace a culture of accountability where we set clear expectations and goals, open lines of communication and strong leadership. ​ Roles (Please note that these are volunteer roles, therefore are not paid employment opportunities) Having once again been awarded gold standard in the EFL Family Excellence awards for the fifth year running and recognised for our ‘friendly atmosphere and outstanding customer service’ it is important we continue to build on this achievement. ​ We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and professional individuals to join our Volunteer Team. ​ ​ Academy Future Coach Development Scheme (Cliff Hill Training Ground, Exeter) S upport, guide and direct talented young players to maximise their potential in sporting performance & personal excellence within the Pre-Academy or Academy. Support the delivery of relevant, innovative & enjoyable coaching practices and uphold and demonstrate the values, standards and behaviours expected both inside & outside the Club. • Develop young players who aspire to play high quality football for ECFC and beyond • Observe and support one training session per week • Potential to observe and support an age group match as part of the games programme • Observe and support on discussions regarding player progress and IDP meetings • Work from an aligned & periodised coaching curriculum that is constantly reviewed • Observe and support how coaches combine and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team • Observe and support conversations regarding trialist performance and feedback • Commit to the Excellent Coaching Framework, continually reflecting and developing as a practitioner ​ ​ What We’re Looking For: A friendly, outgoing attitude and a passion for customer service. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience in event roles is desirable but not essential. ​ By becoming part of the team, you will help us create our matchday magic and be part of an exciting atmosphere. These roles offer the opportunity to give back to your community and make a positive impact but also develop valuable skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving. ​ If you wish to apply for a Matchday Volunteer position please follow the appropriate link and apply via our HR platform, People HR.
