Job Title: EMEA Payroll Specialist
Location: Manchester, UK (hybrid)
Contract: 6 months
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled EMEA Payroll Specialist to join a global healthcare manufacturing companies dynamic team. In this role, you will manage payroll processes across several EMEA regions, including but not limited to Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, and Israel, in partnership with our third-party payroll provider. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, international environment. Fluency in Italian is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee payroll for assigned EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
* Coordinate payroll inputs and instructions to third-party payroll providers, reviewing payroll data for accuracy.
* Handle payroll-related functions including onboarding, offboarding, tax changes, garnishments, and deductions.
* Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, tax, and social security contributions.
* Maintain accurate payroll records, including vacation, sick time, and other leave types.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams (HR, Finance, Legal, IT) and external partners.
* Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and complex issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within payroll processes and participate in related projects.
* Support internal and external audits as needed.
* Deliver training and knowledge sharing to prevent single points of failure across country-specific payrolls.
* Stay updated on payroll legislation and compliance across multiple EMEA regions.
Key Requirements:
* 5–10 years of advanced experience in EMEA payroll.
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance across multiple countries.
* Fluency in Italian is highly advantageous.
* Excellent Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs essential).
* Proven experience managing multiple payrolls across various EMEA countries.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive, self-starter with the ability to pick up tasks quickly and work independently.
* CIPP or equivalent qualification in Payroll.
* Six Sigma White Belt required; Yellow Belt preferred.
* Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
