London
Disturbia
Print designer
Posted: 14 September
Offer description

Application Deadline: 1 October 2025

Department: Design

Location: London

Description

Our aesthetic is rooted in the whimsical, dark romantic, and esoteric — think celestial motifs, folk magic, alchemical symbols, dreamy botanicals, and vintage occult references. We're looking for someone who can turn these inspirations into captivating, wearable designs that enchant and empower. This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate, motivated, highly creative, and experienced junior print designer with a track record of success, looking to further their career.

Responsibilities

* An understanding of the brand aesthetic, customer demographic and brand competitors.
* Designing original all-over and placement prints, graphics, embroideries and motifs aligned with our brand aesthetic.
* Translating mystical and esoteric themes into fresh, wearable prints.
* Creating seamless repeats and preparing accurate, production-ready artwork.
* Supporting seasonal concept development through mood boards and research.
* Collaborating closely with internal design and production teams as well as external suppliers and factories, to ensure print quality and alignment across collections.
* Keeping up with niche fashion trends, folkloric references, and symbolic art and alternative subculture social calendars.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for what Disturbia is aiming to achieve as an organisation and the ability to be decisive, open and specific, whilst promoting acceptance, inclusion and respect. They should be an organised, fast learner and be dynamic in their approach as they will need to react quickly to an ever-evolving business. Finally, they will be charismatic and confident, as well as comfortable interacting with different teams and project requirements.

Skills

* A degree in Textile design or a related field is preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in textile or graphic print design, ideally within a fashion or a lifestyle brand with a strong visual identity.
* A portfolio that shows a love for magical, symbolic, or nature-inspired themes, and a dark edge.
* Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (hand-drawing or illustration skills is a big plus).
* Competency using Wacom tablet.
* An eye for detail, pattern flow, colour palettes, and storytelling through design.
* Ability to balance creative expression with commercial awareness.
* Confident working within an agile and fast-paced environment.
* Passion for alternative fashion, folklore, the occult, or mythological themes and conducting independent research.

Personal Qualities

* Creative and curious — you love exploring new visual languages and weaving stories into your work.
* Strong communicator — able to share ideas clearly and take on feedback with openness and positivity.
* Highly organised — able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without losing attention to detail.
* Team-oriented — you enjoy collaborating, contributing ideas, and supporting others in a close-knit team.
* Self-motivated and adaptable — comfortable working independently, showing initiative and adaptability to a growing brand’s needs.
* Passionate and aligned — you resonate with our brand’s vision and aesthetic; bringing that energy to everything you do.

Benefits

* Holiday allowance starting at 21 days (pro rata with contract), not including bank holidays increasing with length of service.
* Annual leave purchase scheme.
* A company social fund where we put a portion of money away each month to put towards team and company social activities.
* Cycle to work scheme.
* Flexible start and end times.
* Up to 30% store discount.
* Regular socials and social fun.
* Birthday treats.
