What will I be Doing:
1. Responsibility for maintaining H&S standards on site
2. Ensure planned and preventative maintenance is undertaken on all plant and equipment
3. Managing performance of the site in relation to contract standards agreed with customers
4. Liaison with outside bodies as required/necessary – such as Environment Agency etc.
5. Lead and develop a team to ensure operational best practice is adopted and adhered to.
6. Training of staff i.e. Manual Handling, Safety DVD, Diversity, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments etc.
7. Ensure that all records on sites are updated (training records, risk assessments etc) and kept in accordance with Policies and Procedures & legislation.
8. Provide COTC cover for site operations
9. To provide a client focused service that supports the changing needs of our customers and the market.
10. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role
This role adheres to 4on 4off rolling shift pattern with 08am - 16pm working hours.
What Experience is Required?
11. IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
12. COTC Level 4 Hazardous waste (transfer) - If this is something you're currently pursuing we can help you to get to Level 4
13. Computer literate
14. Experience of working within the waste industry (desirable)
15. Experience of working in a supervisory position
16. Operation and Maintenance of Mobile/Fixed Plant (desirable)
17. Valid Driver Licence
