Overview
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop Stores Ltd, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same and will play an important role in day-to-day store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. The customer is at the heart of everything we do, and you will look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. Your guidance helps keep the store a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know and serve customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback through the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all store areas (online, tills, replenishment, vending, stock routines) to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and the role in delivering profit.
* Follow company values, policies, and provide welcoming service to all customers.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
* Adhere to the Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store; keep aisles clear.
* May run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager at times.
* Complete necessary training to keep self, others, and the store safe and compliant.
* Post Office Local (if applicable) duties include day-to-day post office operations and passing required background checks; failure to pass checks may withdraw the job offer.
