Are you seeking a role where you work with the latest automation technology? Based at our state-of-the-art Omega Distribution Centre, located at the Omega Business Park just off Junction 8 of the M62, we are looking for Machine Operators to support in running our advanced automation technology.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our warehouse operations, ensuring the continuous flow of products through our automated systems. Reporting to the Section Managers you’ll oversee equipment such as conveyors and cranes, and manage the flow of our stores products through the system.
With a hands-on approach, you’ll take responsibility for overseeing the continuous operation of the equipment and detect and troubleshoot any faults in the first instance. This role also requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety, particularly when working in close proximity to automation systems. You will demonstrate an ability to adhere strictly to established work instructions and recognised processes while operating equipment, ensuring operational excellence and workplace safety.
Salary £12.70 per hour plus night shift premium if applicable (19% Night shift allowance paid between 10pm - 6am)
Hours Average 38.61 hours worked per week, 3 on 3 off, 12 hour shifts

Job Overview
* Automated System Flow: Manage the continuous flow of products through designated action points in the warehouse automation system.
* Equipment Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, such as conveyors, cranes, and PLCs, to minimise downtime.
* Workstation Management:Perform product and pallet checks at workstations to ensure the continuous operation of equipment.
* Fault Finding:Perform first level fixing of equipment and follow correct escalation process
* System Feedback:Provide details of equipment performance through shift to promote continuous system improvements
* Hygiene Standards: Maintain equipment and work areas to the highest hygiene standards.
* Health & Safety: Uphold and promote Health & Safety protocols in all on-site duties – operate equipment in accordance with detailed work instructions and processes.
* System Understanding: Develop a basic understanding of the end-to-end flow of products through the automation system and the impact of any interruptions.

Salary & Hours
* £12.70 per hour plus night shift premium if applicable (19% Night shift allowance paid between 10pm and 6am)
* Average 38.61 hours per week.
* Shift pattern -3 on 3 off
o Nights -7pm to 7am

* Proficient in working with PCs (Windows-based systems).
