Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious Industrial Sales Representative, with demonstrable experience of selling into any of the following markets - additives, chemicals, industrial consumables (or similar). This role will involve occasional international travel. We are a 60+ year old global organisation focused on sustainable, high-quality mineral applications.


Compensation and Benefits

* BASIC SALARY: £42,000 - £45,000
* Benefits:
o 20% Bonus
o £4,500 Car Allowance

Location and Travel

Home-based – covering the UK, Ireland, France, and Scandinavia – overnight stays required on occasion. Ideally based in or around the M1 or M6 corridors: Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield.


Responsibilities

* Account development for 150+ existing accounts and new business development, with a strong focus on identifying profitable new opportunities and building lasting relationships.
* First point of contact for customers across the UK (60%), France (15%), Scandinavia (15%) and Ireland (10%).
* Create and execute personal business plan, mapping territories and managing diary to achieve 5–10% annual sales growth.
* Conduct strategic customer follow‑ups over long sales cycles (typically 3–9 months from call to close).
* Collaborate with marketing, customer services and technical teams to provide seamless support on new and existing product ranges.
* Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences and industry events.


Qualifications

* Tangible UK industrial sales experience within Additives, Chemicals, Industrial Consumables, or Process Industries (or strong transferable skills from similar sectors).
* Degree level qualification (preferred).
* Experience in animal feed (preferred).
* Ability to increase revenue streams through existing relationships across complex decision‑maker sets, including input into pricing strategies and sales tenders.
* International mindset, willing to travel 70–75% of time domestically and internationally.
* Consultative approach with creative problem‑solving and technical grasp.
* French spoken (advantageous but not essential).
* Experience using a CRM (ideally Salesforce or similar).
