Vendor Onboarding & Third Party Risk Management Contractor
to join their Basildon-based team.
The Role
You will support the
end-to-end onboarding of third-party vendors
into the organisation's systems of record while ensuring full alignment with a robust Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework. This is a hands-on operational role with strong stakeholder engagement and risk assessment responsibilities. You will work closely with Business Owners, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Compliance, Risk SMEs, and Vendor Business Liaisons to ensure vendors are onboarded accurately, efficiently, and compliantly.
What You'll Be Doing
Data Management & System Administration
* Capture and maintain accurate vendor data based on structured discussions with Vendor Business Liaisons.
* Ensure all required fields, documentation, classifications, and metadata are complete and audit-ready.
* Monitor data quality and reconcile information across systems to ensure alignment.
End-to-End Vendor Onboarding
* Coordinate the onboarding lifecycle from initial request through activation.
* Track milestones and proactively follow up to keep processes moving.
* Act as the operational hub between Business Owners, Strategic Sourcing, Risk SMEs, Legal, and Compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing to validate vendor details and sourcing requirements.
* Engage directly with Vendor Business Liaisons to gather key information and communicate updates.
* Escalate risks, blockers, or delays in a timely and professional manner.
Risk Assessment & Due Diligence (TPRM)
* Conduct and document risk assessments aligned with a formal TPRM framework.
* Record inherent risk ratings, control requirements, mitigation actions, and approvals.
* Collaborate with Information Security, Privacy, AML, Financial Crime, and Business Resilience SMEs to validate assessments.
* Ensure all documentation meets policy standards and audit expectations.
Timely Delivery & Compliance
* Keep onboarding activities on track to meet operational timelines.
* Maintain strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory expectations.
* Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance onboarding processes.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in vendor onboarding, procurement operations, third-party risk management, or operational support within a regulated environment.
* Strong understanding of risk assessment principles (financial services experience highly advantageous).
* Confidence working with enterprise systems, workflow tools, and vendor management platforms.
* Exceptional attention to detail and documentation quality.
* Ability to manage multiple onboarding requests while prioritising effectively.
* Clear, professional communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
