Functional Assessor – PIP (Personal Independence Payment - L4)
PFAS (Personal Functional Assessment Services) is seeking healthcare professionals to join as Functional Assessors. If you’re a Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic looking to use your clinical skills in a new and rewarding way, this could be the perfect opportunity.
PFAS supports over 36,000 people every year and is one of the UK’s leading providers of functional assessments. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality attentive care, and as a dedicated team, we are aligned in delivering our vision of providing the right care, first time, every time. You’ll receive full training and have the opportunity to grow into roles such as Clinical Coach, Trainer, or Clinical Manager.
As a Functional Assessor, you will work autonomously with individuals applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) as part of the DHA HAAS. This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports. You’ll interview claimants to understand challenges, conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face, and determine how a claimant’s disability, condition, or illness affects daily activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner. This role offers a better work-life balance, ongoing professional development, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
