Service Care Solutions are looking for a Project Engineer to work on a full-time, long-term contract based in Deeside, Flintshire. The role is paying £26.52p per hour (Umbrella). Role Summary This role offers the opportunity to develop engineering knowledge and project delivery capability, contributing to high priority Defence programmes. Project Engineers are responsible for delivering acquisition and non-acquisition projects using a tailored PRINCE2/APM methodology. The role includes significant cross-team collaboration and approximately one third of the week spent in meetings with engineering stakeholders. Regular in person attendance is required, particularly during onboarding to familiarise with the team, site and processes. Occasional travel to other locations may be needed Key Responsibilities Suppliers should ensure candidates clearly demonstrate experience in: • Leading and managing projects from planning through to delivery • Developing and maintaining system requirements, including in service support • Producing structured business cases covering strategic, commercial, financial and management components • Supporting the identification, evaluation and verification of technical solutions • Managing safety risk appropriately in collaboration with the Engineering Authority • Providing financial management support (Forecast of Outturn, in-year updates, annual cycle reporting) • Representing the function in cross departmental meetings and technical discussions Essential Criteria Candidates must meet the following: • Level 4 qualification advanced/higher apprenticeship OR Level 3 qualification recognised engineering apprenticeship relevant engineering experience • Eligibility to meet the criteria for EngTech professional registration (UK-SPEC) • Full UK manual driving licence (travel required) • Demonstrable engineering background – ideally mechanical bias • Project delivery capability within engineering/technical environments • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable Skills • Defence or regulated industry experience • Working knowledge of safety management practices • Experience contributing to technical evaluations or product assurance • PRINCE2/APM exposure Security Requirements • SC clearance required • Candidates without current SC may be considered if eligible and willing to undergo clearance • May handle sensitive or classified material (non nuclear) If you wish to be considered, please apply now, or call 01772 208962
