Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager/Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food and beverage standards, and fostering a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise all front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including baristas, servers, cooks, and kitchen personnel.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
* Manage bar operations, including cocktail creation, drink service, and inventory control.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food production and hygiene.
* Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor team performance to foster a cohesive working environment.
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee exceptional guest experiences.
* Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure smooth operations.
* Manage events and festivals bookings and event management including planning, running, staff rota, stock management and more
* Create a calendar of events for pub/restaurant related activities to bring in customers
* Work with head chef and kitchen team to create a calendar of activities and events with food planned
* Develop promotional strategies to increase patronage and optimise sales opportunities.
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.

Requirements
* Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
* Supervising experience with demonstrated team management skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
* Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar establishments; barista experience is advantageous.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team culture.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
* Good communication skills and a professional demeanour when interacting with guests and staff alike.
* Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and customer service excellence principles. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to lead a vibrant team within a lively hospitality setting while ensuring operational excellence at all times.
