My client is looking for a Hydraulic Technician to join on them on a permanent position. As a Hydraulic Technician, you will be responsible for testing and repairing and overhaul the hydraulic components in accordance with the manufacturers mandatory procedures taking into consideration the Customers' requirements.
Role: Hydraulic Technician
Pay: From £28,000 per annum PAYE
Location: West London
Permanent Position
Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday
Right to work within the UK without any restrictions
Job Profile
Cleaning of hydraulic units to allow visual inspection
Paint stripping of hydraulic components where required
Visual inspection of hydraulic components and creation of route sheets as required
Determine work scope required based on condition and end customer requirements
Creation of condition reports for hydraulic assemblies
Disassembly of hydraulic components I.A.W applicable manuals
Disposition of parts and ordering of required replacement parts as required
Assembly of hydraulic components I.A.W applicable manuals
Final functional testing of hydraulic components I.A.W applicable manuals prior to release to service
Liaise with supporting departments as required to obtain required customer/technical information
Have an awareness of build requirements/schedule and priorities
Creation of bush logs
Adherence to health and safety and PPE requirements
Communicate issues that may affect production to their Lead Hand, Team Leader or Production Manager
Have knowledge of all SOPM's applicable to task
All employees are required to use the Integrated Quality Management System IQ Move.
You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures
You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
Skills/Experience Required
Knowledge of hydraulic components and principles.
Competent in the use of basic hand tools.
Familiar with the use of computers, including word processing, spread sheets and data based programmes
The nature of the job requires the applicant to come into contact with various greases and oils
The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling
The job requires the use of hand tools and power tools.
The position involves the use of complex machinery equipment
The ability to keep your working area clean and tidy and to a 5s standard
The job requires the applicant to stand for a prolonged amount of time with a number of breaks throughout the day.
The position and process involves lifting heavy aircraft components.
Able to use their own initiative
Strong analytical skill set.
Good communicator- ability to communicate with staff on business, and other issues that affect the business
Good planning, organisation and administration skills, PC literate
Able to maintain performance under pressure
Ability to make decisions
Profound level of problem solving skills
Able to communicate with all levels of Management
Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets
Able to communicate with all levels of Management

Educated to at least GCSE Level or equivalent.
Ideally, applicants will have served an Aircraft related apprenticeship supported by further education utilising a safe methodical working practice.
Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organization. Ability demonstrates a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements.
