We are looking for a PM/SPM (Infrastructure) to join our teams across the UK, working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, both nationally and locally. You will be joining a growing team of like-minded people passionate about innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions.
As a PM/SPM, you will lead a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves providing Engineering Construction Contract (ECC) project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle, from scope development and construction tender support through to construction phase contract administration and closeout.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary complex projects within collaborative delivery teams.
2. Providing effective support and mentoring to Project Managers, Graduates, and Apprentices.
3. Ensuring commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time, and to the client's satisfaction.
4. Supporting and managing the project team to ensure appropriate resources are provided, meeting client and business requirements.
5. Delivering projects and commissions to the satisfaction of the client regarding quality, cost, and time.
6. Developing strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
7. Supporting business development opportunities with existing and new clients, acting as the primary interface with AECOM clients.
Qualifications and experience required:
1. Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience providing comprehensive PM/SPM services, including post-contract management and stakeholder engagement.
2. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3/4 contract management with accreditation.
3. A relevant degree in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or relevant industry experience.
4. Experience in the built environment as a client-side Project Manager (Energy, Aviation, Water, Rail), NEC project management experience preferred but not essential.
5. Project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2 is desirable.
6. Ability to undertake security screening checks successfully.
7. Team leadership experience, including resource planning and mentoring less experienced team members.
8. Membership of a professional body (e.g., APM, CIOB) is desirable.
