Clinical Lead – Children’s Services West Midlands (with travel across services) Salary: up to – £50,000 DOE Full-time, Permanent (Rota-based) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Lead to join a well-established, highly respected specialist social care provider delivering high-quality services across the Midlands. The organisation supports children and young people with complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, autism, mental health needs, and highly complex healthcare requirements. This role will provide nursing-level clinical oversight within a highly complex children’s residential setting, working alongside an experienced Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and clinical excellence are consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing-level clinical oversight within a complex children’s residential home Work closely with the Registered Manager to support day-to-day clinical governance and care delivery Conduct medication audits, clinical checks, and quality assurance processes Deliver medication training and clinical guidance to care staff Support children with highly complex health needs including PEG feeding, gastrostomy care, manual handling, and full personal care Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in children’s clinical needs Ensure safe, effective, and compliant clinical practices across the service Promote best practice in safeguarding, health, and clinical standards Contribute to continuous improvement and staff development across the service Requirements Registered Nurse qualification (RGN, RMN or RNLD) – essential Active NMC registration Strong clinical background in complex care or high-dependency settings Understanding of children’s residential care (or willingness to transition from NHS settings) Experience with medication management, audits, and clinical governance Flexible, values-driven approach with willingness to work rota-based shifts Ability to travel across West Midlands services Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills Alignment with organisational values of Care, Respect, Trust and Progress What’s on Offer Salary up to £50,000 (DOE) Rota-based working pattern Strong internal progression culture Clear pathway to wider healthcare oversight leadership roles across the organisation Supportive senior leadership team and established operational structure Opportunity to work within a high-complexity, specialist care environment If you are passionate about delivering high-quality clinical care and have the leadership skills to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you for a confidential conversation.
