We are looking for
A proactive Area Manager to join our growing Warehouse Team in Corby. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, focusing on financial and administrative management to maximise efficiency and profitability.

What you will be doing
10. Oversee daily automation warehouse operations, ensuring financial and administrative tasks are efficiently handled to maximise team performance and profitability.
11. Analyse labour requirements, assess capacity issues, and escalate concerns in alignment with forecasts to ensure optimal employee levels.
12. Regularly update SOP training modules to align with current procedures, manage the change control process, and develop training plans for the team, ensuring proper SOP sign-off.
13. Performance Monitor and enhance SLA and KPI performance within the team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
14. Provide analytical and solutions-focused reporting to management by operating and interrogating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
15. Maintain and improve inventory accuracy within the department, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
16. Conduct regular communication briefings with direct reports to keep them informed of company updates and encourage input for continuous improvement.
17. Lead health and safety initiatives, performing regular checks and audits, and managing accident/incident investigations, including root cause analysis.
18. Develop and maintain a professional understanding of HMRC regulations relevant to stock held by the contract, ensuring compliance.
19. Proactively manage absence, performance, and disciplinary matters, including conducting one to one’s, probation reviews, and appraisals.
20. Foster relationships with internal and external customers to understand their needs and improve service delivery, responding promptly and professionally to queries.
21. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and leading initiatives and projects to enhance warehouse operations.
Our Ideal Person
22. Extensive 3PL Warehouse Expertise: Proven success in managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including financials and administration.
23. WMS & SOP Proficiency: Skilled in using Warehouse Management Systems and continuously updating Standard Operating Procedures.
24. Analytical & Strategic: Strong at assessing labour needs, optimising capacity, and driving performance metrics.
25. Leadership & Communication: Excellent at leading teams, conducting briefings, and building strong customer relationships.
26. Health & Safety Advocate: Experienced in leading safety initiatives and thorough incident investigations.
27. Compliance & Improvement Focused: Knowledgeable in HMRC regulations with a detail-oriented, proactive approach to continuous improvement.
