Workingin theWasterwater(Sewage)teams, this is the chance to startyourcareer with Anglian Water asaTreatmentTechnicianApprentice!You’llsplit your time between college and hands-on learning at our sites, helping the water recycling process that collects wastewater, treats and cleans it, before returning it safely to our rivers and seas, to safeguard, protect and improve the environment.

This is a hands-on practical role working outside in a variety of weather; the work is varied, rewarding and at times challenging, but no two days are the same! Once qualified, you’ll join a 24/7 standby rota because your role is vital.
Whatyou’lldo:
1. Testing effluent
2. Working alongside our scientists.
3. Carrying out vital processes including screening,settlementand biological treatment
4. Support fault diagnosis and keep equipment running efficiently
5. Work alongside experienced technicians and follow health & safety rules
6. Take ownership of your development and contribute to team success
Whatwe’relooking for:
7. English and Maths GCSE’s (grades 9–4/A*–C), we can also accept Level 2 Functional Skills - predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams
8. Genuine interest in the water industry and protecting the environment
9. Good communicationskills and a team mindset
10. Willingness to work outdoors and learn new things
If you do not currently hold a full UK drivinglicence,you’llneed to obtain one by the end of year two of theprogramme, or if thisisn’tpossible due to your age, within one year of your 17th birthday.
