Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm & Fridays 8am to 4pm

Long-term job security with an established employer Our client, a leading provider of engineered drilling solutions, is seeking a CNC Machinist / Operator to join their growing team in Mansfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating CNC lathes who is looking for long-term stability, career development, and the opportunity to develop their programming skills within a specialist engineering environment.
The Role
As a CNC Machinist / Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathe machinery to manufacture high-quality drill components and precision-engineered parts. You will work from technical drawings, maintain quality standards, and support the efficient running of the workshop. Programming experience is advantageous; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC lathe machines
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Setting up and running production jobs
Threading and machining steel components
Producing precision drill parts to specification
Maintaining quality and safety standards
Supporting continuous improvement within the workshopRequirements
Previous experience operating CNC lathe machines
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
Experience setting CNC machinery would be advantageous
CNC programming experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Fanuc experience would be advantageous but is not essential
Full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK
FLT Licence/experience preferred - not essential
