This role works closely with the National Finance Director of Audit and the Audit COO to improve how the Audit function operates and reports on performance. The focus is on simplifying processes, improving planning and reporting, and supporting regulatory needs using clear analysis, practical tools, and data‑driven insights. The role works across many teams to turn strategy into actions that can be delivered consistently at a national level.
What you will do
* Transformation & Structural Redesign Leadership
Work closely with the COO and Director of Finance to lead and support enterprise-level transformation initiatives, including redesign of the audit operating model and performance frameworks. Translate strategic objectives into executable financial and operational plans and drive implementation across the function.
* Enterprise-Wide Integration & Stakeholder Leadership
Proven ability to work across a broad cross-section of stakeholders (operations, finance, risk, resource planning, offshore teams, and leadership) to gather, synthesize, and align information from multiple sources into a cohesive view. Strong capability to break down silos and drive alignment.
* Regulatory Engagement
Experience supporting senior leadership in responding to regulatory requirements and strengthening governance, transparency, and reporting structures.
* Advanced Business Modeling & Scenario Design
Expertise in developing sophisticated business models to support structural redesign, forecasting, capacity planning, and profitability analysis at a national level.
* Digital, AI & Tool Standardization Leadership
Experience designing standardized financial tools and leveraging AI to enhance reporting, summarize insights, and improve decision support. Ability to embed digital capabilities into core finance processes. Drive capability uplift within the team to ensure sustainable adoption of standardized processes, AI-enabled tools, and enhanced performance reporting.
* Finance Reporting Redesign & Business Alignment
Partner closely with the Director of Finance to revamp and modernize reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with the evolving audit business model and providing partners with the insights and performance metrics required to effectively manage and execute their portfolios
What you bring to the role
* Strong experience in finance, operations, or business transformation roles, ideally within a large, complex organization
* Exposure to digital tools, automation, or AI‑enabled reporting and analysis
* Proven ability to work with senior leaders and translate strategy into practical plans and measurable outcomes
* Solid analytical and complex financial modeling skills, with the ability to turn data into clear, useful insights
* Practical experience using digital tools, automation, or AI to improve reporting, analysis, or decision‑making
* Working understanding of databases and data structures, and how data flows between systems to support reporting and insights
* Experience improving processes, planning, or reporting across multiple teams or functions
* Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders
* Relevant business/finance education
* The successful candidate will require fluent written and verbal English as this individual will support a national team and stakeholders across Canada
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $104,000 to $154,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
