Job Description

Ensure a wonderful guest experience by coordinating with different hotel departments.
We are looking for a passionate individual dedicated to continuously improving the quality of our hotel services.
As our next Reservations & Event Manager, you will:
* Be the face of Novotel Cambridge North, welcoming guests warmly and prioritizing their well-being while adding your personal touch.
* Be trained in all front-of-house functions and safety protocols to support your success.
* Manage daily reservations across multiple platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia).
* Ensure all reservations, payments, and comments are correctly processed.
* Check OTA commissions regularly and submit reports weekly.
* Update trackers daily (e.g., no-shows, cancellations).
* Handle reservations and inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face.
* Develop expertise in hotel bedrooms and event spaces to confidently handle inquiries.
* Conduct hotel show-arounds professionally.
* Support group bookings and liaise with other departments as needed.
* Be the first point of contact for accommodation and event inquiries.
* Coordinate and administer events, including corporate bookings, private functions, and weddings.
* Promote hotel spaces through show-arounds and build rapport with key clients.
* Provide detailed event plans to operations teams to ensure client needs are met.
* Maintain reservation system accuracy and respond promptly to inquiries.
* Coordinate group reservations, conferences, and events seamlessly.
* Liaise with clients to understand and fulfill their event requirements.
* Manage event logistics, budgets, and customer service during events.
* Handle last-minute changes professionally and gather feedback post-events.
* Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
